The Liquid Shifter by GamerDeeJay The Liquid Shifter by GamerDeeJay
Subject #2458-13 a.k.a. Thirteen

Name: Variable. Each form has a name.

Age: Unknown. Subject #2458-13 could have come into existence only one cycle ago, or it could have been around since the beginning.

Element: Water

Height: Variable.

Weight: Variable. Additional biomass can be stored inside Subject #2458-13’s forms. Lanky, unassuming forms might weigh more than a half ton. Or not.

Appearance: Variable. Forms can be anything as long as it’s humanoid. Currently, its preferred specie preference is ‘Eclyptans’, half-mammal, half-reptilian based aliens. Expressive ears. Digitigrade legs. Split pupils. Long, flexible tails. Colorful skin, hair, and eyes. Purple blood.

Subject #2458-13 has had no issue with assimilating and transforming into humans though.

Liquid form is also variable. It can assume a puddle of cobalt [DATA EXPUNGED] or a semi-solid ‘attack’ form [SEE PICTURE].

Personality: Variable. Subject #2458-13 in all forms has an affinity for Thresprig Mint in some way.

IQ: Unknown

Skills: Expert with most weapons including explosives. Knows proper gun safety, but disregards them. Can pilot most vehicles with ease, knows proper maintenance as well. Knows a few hacking tricks. Can set the clock on all available appliances on market. Can bypass most security measures given the time to do so. Can effectively play over thirty instruments. Can grasp the concept of advanced chemistry, physics and mathematics. Knows advanced first aid including surgery. Knows how to run several businesses including: restaurants, bars, factories, mechanic shops, farms, bureaus, hospitals, law firms, prisons, some military operations, and a few countries. Knows where the best restaurants are in 249 cities, also knows most of said cities layouts. Can cook, and knows a mean chocolate cake recipe. Knows eighty-seven languages. Knows seventeen different hand-to-hand techniques. Knows proper care of most domestic animals and some wild ones. Has keen perception. Knows advanced field survival techniques. Knows forty-seven different knots. Knows proper domestic maintenance. Knows 90% of electronic games on market. Is aware of social laws, whether it cares or not depends on how it is that day.

A major problem is that the overall ability, accuracy and speed to recollect information varies greatly between forms.

Description: Not much is known about Subject #2458-13. It is a shapeshifter or more properly termed, liquid shifter. Its form is variable. Different race, gender, humanoid species can be shifted into as long as it was something it has previously consumed. Any organic entity can be consumed, inorganics cannot. Forms are not just physically, but the memories, personalities, backstories, etc. of all those it consumes can be perfectly mimicked. Including clothing.

Liquid form is used as a means of healing and self-defense. It assumes liquid form to hunt and assimilate victims. Liquid shifting appears to be a primal hunting method infused into Subject #2458-13. It prefers the hunting and consumption of live food over ‘civilized’ meals. Minor wounds, such as small lacerations, can be healed by shifting to liquid form. Major wounds can be healed if it has enough mass to do so. Liquid form behaves as liquid should, and can be used to slip into tight quarters and for stealth purposes. It takes mere seconds to shift between forms. It is unknown if Subject #2458-13 mimics the internal organs of an entity. After intensive testing, Subject #2458-13 has been proven to be completely immune to all known pathogens.

Shifting without proper mass is EXTREMELY draining. Subject cannot assume stronger forms without the proper mass to do so. Mass can be compacted into smaller forms. Subject is vulnerable to fire and acid/bases in liquid form. Subject can, theoretically, be wounded (and killed) in physical form. But if enough mass is absorbed inside Subject #2458-13 it would be quite difficult to do so.

Subject #2458-13’s past is unknown. It knows nothing of how it got its abilities. It has no idea how it was before receiving said powers. It has no idea where it’s from. It has no idea of what it looked like or how old it is. Subject #2458-13 does not suffer from amnesia, the sheer amount of information from the entities it has absorbed might have destroyed the original memories. This is only a theory. Instead of complaining of having no past it capitalizes on it, by (possibly) retelling the backstories of the entities it has assimilated. Each story will contradict the last, and its true origin may never be known. That said Subject #2458-13 can be whatever it wants to be.

Every personality is prevalent inside the entity of Subject #2458-13. All their habits, memories, tastes, gestures, lifestyles, phobias, etc. is essentially ‘heard’ inside its mind. This makes it wholly unpredictable on a form by form basis. It is unknown how many entities met their fate to Subject #2458-13. It can range from dozens to entire worlds.

Direct contact with Subject #2458-13 is ill-advised.

---

Its best not to think too much on this. After all, what if someone was Subject #2458-13? What about that random person on the street? Your host at a restaurant? A police officer? Your neighbor? Your friend? One of your parents? pfft nah...i would know Could you? Really?

...just be careful out there, okay?

Hm. In my opinion, i dislike this piece, probably because this is simple and i know you can do better, and it doesn't seem like you put effort into the background. I'm sorry, but all i could gather from your description was that he was a shapeshifter because i can't be bothered to read the whole artists comment. I like how much detail you put into the thinking process of this, but it's just too much for me to read because it doesn't interest me to know more about this.

Oh yeah I understand. It's a base profile for the character in an RP setting. Kinda like a 'I-Can-Have-It-In-Any-Given-Situation' sort of thing. It's dry reading yes, but I had to list it all down as the RP's prereqs. And having something with no background is quite fun lemme tell you. ^_^

But as this is a base character right now, I will expand on it in actual writing. But as of now, it's basic. Sorry. ^^;

Maybe it can. It has the knowledge to. Or...maybe it can't because it can't remember who inside it knows how to. I guess it all depends.
